Meet the Assistant Principal
Greg Zurales has always had an inquisitive mind. In fact, it was his love for learning that inspired him to pursue a career in education. After graduating from St. Laurence High School in Burbank, the Chicago native attended Northern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. He went on to receive his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. His first teaching position out of college was right here in Homer 33C as a sixth grade Social Studies and Reading/Language Arts teacher at Hadley Middle School. Four years later, in 2006, he moved to Homer Junior High School where he taught Reading/Language Arts for a year. In 2007, he was named Dean at the junior high. In 2012, he accepted his current position as Assistant Principal.
Mr. Zurales and his wife, Carole, live in Frankfort.
