Meet the Dean of Students

Jason Skube

Jason Skube

Dean of Students, Hadley Middle School

Jason Skube entered the field of education following the completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Millikin University, Decatur, IL. After two years of successful teaching in Danville, IL, Mr. Skube was appointed to a full-time graduate assistant position at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, serving both the Music Education department as well as the Spartan Athletic Bands. In the midst of graduating with a Master’s in Music Education, Mr. Skube arrived in Homer Glen where he served as the co-director of bands for 15 years. Throughout his tenure as an instrumental music educator, Mr. Skube thoroughly enjoyed providing his students with a skill set to be an instrumentalist, and igniting a passion, in many, that fueled them into a continued study of and/or profession in music. In addition, Mr. Skube also enacted the Natural Helpers program at Homer Junior High and annually co-led a weekend training for nominated students and staff rooted in taking better care of one another, oneself, and recognizing that we all live life with challenges whether seen or unseen. It was the successes via the Natural Helpers program that inspired Mr. Skube to complete a second graduate degree in school administration where he could ultimately serve all students and colleagues within a school. Mr. Skube is thrilled to provide that service at Hadley Middle School, working alongside a tremendous team of educators and staff members who are dedicated to creating a successful and inspiring platform for personal growth.
