Welcome to Goodings Grove School. I am very excited about the upcoming school year! I received my bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from St. Xavier University, Chicago, with a focus on Critical Thinking. Also, I earned an endorsement in English as a Second Language (ESL), as well as a certification in TESOL from the University of St. Francis, Joliet. My endorsements also include Middle School, Language Arts, French, and Italian - Italian being my native language. In my 31 years in this profession, I have serviced Elementary, Middle School, and Junior High students. I have taught a variety of content areas, with an emphasis on Language Arts and French; I have also taught Junior High Research Writing, Drama, RTI, and ESL.
My special interests include reading, researching, exercising, and celebrating with family. I also enjoy traveling. I look forward to sharing my love of the English language with the students of Homer 33C.
