Principal

Mr. Kraatz is excited and honored to serve the students, staff, and families of Goodings Grove School and the Homer community. He is passionate about elementary education and believes that this foundational level is essential in order for every child to grow and succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. He spent six years serving the students and families of Frankfort School District 157c, where he taught second grade at Grand Prairie Elementary and fifth grade at Chelsea Intermediate. Mr. Kraatz joined the Homer 33C community in 2019 as the assistant principal at Luther J. Schilling, and in 2022, he transitioned to the principal role at Goodings Grove. He received his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Saint Xavier University, and his Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Mr. Kraatz lives in New Lenox with his wife, Amie, who is also an educator, and their young son, Joshua.
