Health Requirements

Homer 33C is dedicated to the health and well-being of our students and staff. Each health office is staffed by a certified school nurse. School nurses provide care for injuries, acute illnesses, and medically complex conditions; maintain health records; coordinate and provide vision and hearing screenings; and promote a healthy school environment. Our school nurses also collaborate with parents and medical staff to address the needs of medically complex students. Health office procedures and requirements are regulated by the Illinois School Code and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
