Meet the Assistant Director of Special Services

Bridget Withrow

I am excited to serve the students, families, and staff in Homer District 33C as the Assistant Director of Special Services.  I am passionate about supporting students with unique learning needs and believe that every child has the potential to learn and grow when provided with the right services and tools.  I have worked in the field of special education for over twenty years.  Before coming to Homer District 33C, I was the Assistant Director of Student Services in Mokena School District 159 for three years.  Prior to that, I was the Director of Special Education for a nearby PreK-8 school district as well as a Special Education Administrator and Assistive Technology Specialist for a large PreK-12 school district in Will County.  In my early years in education, I taught special education at the elementary and early childhood levels.

I reside in New Lenox with my husband, Jim, and our two children.  I also enjoy traveling and volunteering to support our son’s Special Olympics teams.
