The Goodings Grove Community, dedicated to the ideal of encouraging reliability, respectability, and responsibility, strives to create life-long learners with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to become productive, successful individuals in our society.

 

 

 

Accomplishments for 2006-2007

 

  1. Implementation of beginning stages of RTI (Response to Intervention)
  2. Continued implementation of Homework Website for students and parents to view at home
  3. Science curriculum enhanced with units and lessons on weather in conjunction with the district’s new weather station
  4. Continued technology integration into K-4 curriculum and assessments  
  5. Continued early intervention for reading resource                           
  6. Weekly communications with parent community improved by all staff                     
  7. Student Peer Mediation program and training used regularly                              
  8. Continue curriculum alignment in language arts, math, science, and social studies
  9. Frequent School Improvement Team meetings
  10. Continue to promote respectful behavior

 

 

 

Priority Goals for 2007-2008

 

  1. Adoption of new Reading Series
  2. Professional Development for staff in the area of Reading Literacy
  3. Further implementation of RTI
  4. Continue to implement new science curriculum additions in the area of weather and in conjunction with the district’s new weather station.
  5. Continue academic support for at risk students, provide increased opportunities for differentiation of instruction in language arts/reading blocks, expand early intervention process, and provide certified nurse personnel for health and nutritional needs of students.
  6. Continue technology upgrade activities.
  7. Continue to promote positive interaction between all members of the school community.
